I am not technical and don’t know how to go about choosing a website for my business. There are so many options being advertised ?

Most people who run their own business are usually time limited nor technically minded and there are lots of adverts from a number of large software houses offering free or cheap easy to build website solutions. The problem with these options is they may be cheap, but you may have no control over additional landing pages, or the SEO that you need to input in order to optimise them for search engines. Every day I am bombarded by SEO specialists who say they can get me at the top of Google page 1. Is this correct ?

You will already have a top of page 1 ranking for your domain name. It's unlikely any SEO agency can get you at the top of page 1, of say Google, for KeyWords around what you do or provide, unless you are in either a niche market or you are a big business or organisation, with a strong domain authority. At FIGA digital, we have the expertise in Organic SEO and Google Ads campaign setup and management, that allows us to properly assist you in optimising your website with search engines. It's not an exact science and takes a careful thorough approach and it's about understanding your business and your competitors from a digital point of view and analysing data and information extracted from the various search engine tools available, and then making tweaks as and when required. As Digital is ever changing, so is SEO and we keep a close eye on these changes. We also run our own tests to keep an eye on how the main search engines are performing.

Google Ads has increased a lot in cost over the past few years but in most cases it is still affordable and a good idea to have some paid advertising in place for your business or organisation. Most people dabble in Google Ads and don't really understand what they are doing. Also Google Express has a very low ROI (return on investment) and the expert service is good, but again they work for Google. FIGA digital has the experience, through our MCC account, to setup, manager and optimise your Ads campaigns. Sometimes we need to do this in conjunction with Tag Manager and Analytics so we can have the correct data and information to hand, to make the necessary tweaks. In short, we will optimise your Ads for you and can let you have a clear plan in order to maximise relevancy, conversion rates as well as pushing up the KeyWord quality score that in turn reduces the Cost Per Click.

I see you have two offices, one in London and one in Basingstoke ? Where are you mainly based ?

We have two offices so that we can better service our clients. The London office services our clients that are in the South East of England, and the Basingstoke office, the M3 and M4 corridors and the South West. Our services are also provided in various locations outside of this to ensure that they are cost effective for clients. There are some services that are uneconomical for clients in terms of pricing as the UK can have expensive labour costs. All digital services are provided by skilled labour, and there is a lot of training required to keep up with this fast pace change that is also provided by skilled labour and digital area experts. Our prices are very competitive; we know this as we often win business that has been tendered out.

Do I need an App for my business ? I am being offered a very cheap price for one ?

Most businesses do not need an App and the cheap Apps are really just a feed to your website. It will be difficult to get people to use it as it won't be listed on major App marketplaces, so how can would-be users find your App. There are some businesses that could genuinely benefit from an App. However, commercial realism is important here, given programming costs in this marketplace are presently sky-high as major blue chip companies worldwide are providing very high demand to App builders, which in turn drives up prices charged for App builds.

I’ve heard that there are sharp practices within the Digital Agency market ? How do I know I can trust you ?

This is true when the market took off around 9-10 years ago. Most people were just learning about the internet and beginning to use e-mail every day for communications. Given the demand, Web build agencies had a very large order book and perhaps didn't engage the correct business ethos they should have. The market is now much more competitive and there are some good Digital agencies out there now who are providing value for money services with better company ethos in terms of pricing and client care. FIGA digital has a pricing structure already in place and, although this may vary depending upon the size of your business and marketplace, we don't just make up the prices as we go along, or try to spend-out your budget.
